2K Brings Onboard Apex Legends Developer to Boost Struggling Hero Shooter Ambitious Title
2K Games has welcomed Ben Brinkman from Respawn Entertainment to lead the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently crafting the upcoming third-person action-packed title known as Project Ethos.
Management Change Follows Poor Reception
The new appointee steps into the leadership position at the development studio following the exit of previous head Michael Condrey, who was removed from his post due to the game's disappointing early showing last fall.
Recently, 2K president a key figure notified staff about this strategic move through an internal memo, which highlighted that early feedback sessions had shown the need for a distinct game identity.
Ismailer noted that the team is now overhauling the project with a renewed approach, aiming to better meet player expectations.

Our confidence in this project increases every day. To boost the incredible advancement you’ve made, I’m excited to announce the new hire as the latest Director of the team. Following several months of talks, he comes aboard us on next week.
